Reuse makes the world go round! We believe trading toys cuts down on emissions used to ship toys, packaging, and puts sturdy favorites back into rotation in the Albuquerque community – what’s not to like? Oh yeah, the price is gentle on your wallet – that’s nice, too.
Collect gently used toys from your closets, bins and storage boxes to bring to Color Wheel Toys! Make sure games & puzzles have all their pieces, playsets are complete, and that everything you bring is in good clean working/playing condition from non-smoking environments and cleaned of any pet/human hair.
Things we are looking for:
- wooden train tracks and accessories & vehicles
- Lego brand bricks
- dress up clothes and accessories (no shoes)
- construction toys like blocks, Lincoln Logs & bristle blocks
- books in excellent condition
- open ended toys like peg people & wooden rainbows
- games and puzzles (puzzles no more than 100 pieces please)
- outdoor toys
- educational items like sets of letters/shapes and magnets
- timeless toys like tops, balls and puppets
- plastic and wooden dolls/figures/animals and dollhouse furniture
- art & craft tools like scissors, rulers and embroidery hoops
If you’ve shopped with us before, you know what kinds of toys & items we have in the shop; use that as your guide.
Things we are not taking:
- Any toys with media tie-ins (i.e. Paw Patrol, Barbie, Hello Kitty, Minecraft – no licensed character items)
- guns or weapons
- bath toys unless they have recently been through the dishwasher
- anything with teeth marks or colored on with pens/markers, things with peeling or ripped stickers
- soft toys (stuffed animals and dolls unless they are new and just weren’t your kid’s style)
- children’s shoes, clothing or accessories
- large items like bouncers/gyms/push toys/play kitchens
- sensory items like slime or sand unless it is new in the package.
At the Appointment:
We will look through your items, set aside the things we’d like to sell, and offer you a certificate for store credit for 50% of the value of the items we’ll take. You can spend the certificate that day or save it for later to use at Color Wheel Toys on new or RePlay merchandise. Easy peasy!
